The policies and practices that make up our human resources management model are detailed below:

  • - Recruitment policy: In line with Calidona's growth strategy, the profile most in demand is that of young university graduates, our aim being to promote their training and professional development within the company. For those posts that require a lower level of training, we mainly look for those with previous experience in the sector. Internal promotion is preferred over external contracting, with a periodic professional development evaluation system that is applied to 80% of the company's employees.
  • - Equal opportunities policy: Our equal opportunities policy is applied to both the internal promotion and external contracting system.
  • - Retention policy: Calidona has a retention policy based on establishing salaries above those stated in collective agreements, with all of our staff enjoying salaries above these agreements. This objective has been achieved via a professional development evaluation system and results in the optimisation of staff performance, which in turn is reflected in their salaries.
  • - Reconciling work and family life: Over time we have developed a series of specific measures for reconciling work and family life. All employees have access to opportunities such as flexible working hours, reduced working hours when enrolled in training programmes and social benefits via special agreements with other companies. These are available to all company employees.
  • - Training and professional development: One of the main challenges of Calidona's human resources policy is that of discerning and sharing with employees their level of professional development. From this point, we can develop a training plan that is tailored to their individual needs. Various free, ongoing training programs are available such as: English classes, food handling, handling of phytosanitary products, swimming pool maintenance and occupational risk prevention courses.
  • - Flexible payment scheme: Under our Calidona Flex© system, all directors, middle managers and employees with more than three years' service in the company, can choose to receive part of their gross salary in products and services, thus reducing their tax payments. This includes services such as: medical insurance, childcare, restaurant meals, private vehicle hire and training.
